Not Much Blogging.....

....... as Daddy-O's condition is deteriorating and we are counting down the hours/days/weeks.
Please pray that God takes him quickly and without further pain. My wish is that he gets to know his grand daughter, Joanna Mei, but it does not look like that will happen.
He is back at the Assisted Living Residence (one mile from our home) surrounded with a bunch of caregivers who love him dearly ...... he's in the best place he can be at this time. Times like these make me thankful that God is God and I am not.
My brother, Paul from North Carolina, & sister, Maryann from New Jersey will arrive tomorrow and over the weekend, we will have some painful discussions ..... but it will be great to have them here.
Blessings,
Don

Don and Be, I'm so sorry. You've taken such great care of your Dad for so long. I'm sorry he'll probably not be able to hold Joanna when she comes home. God comfort you as you have the hard discussions and the painful talks. But I pray God will also give you all some precious times with your dad that will be dear memories for you to share with Joanna. Big hugs to you.

Love, Pat

I can't imagine what a difficult time this is for you. I'll say a special prayer that his pain end and for peace in his heart.

Praying for your Dad. Your dad will always be there. I am glad you have the support of your brother and sister. It is terribly difficult. The most important thing... like you said is that he doesn't suffer and is well cared for...

Well there are no words to express what is on my heart as I read your post today. May you sense His love and presence with you all as you gather to provide that sense of loving care for Dad.

I know whether or not he lives to hold her, that Dad is going to be very real to Joanna. It is written on each of the loving words you write as you share this special man with us who read. Love and prayers continue for each of you.

I'm so sorry to hear your dad is not doing well. Having recently lost my mom I know what you're going through. I hope you find strength with your siblings. I know that's what got me through the worst moments in my life.

Prayed for your Dad. I'm sorry to hear he's not well. Often when I read your blog I think of the wonderful time you shared recently at the Vienna concert. Good times!

Praying for your family as they arrive too. Such tough times.

Lifting your family before the throne of grace.
